SENDING AN INMATE MONEY

Money for inmates at NDSP will be accepted and receipted by staff in the front lobby of the Penitentiary during normal business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or family member and friends may continue to send money through the mail. Money sent to inmates must be in the form of a check or money order. Cash is not to be sent in the mail.

JRCC does not allow money to be dropped off. All monies to JRCC must be mailed!

When sending an inmate money you will need to know where the inmate is located. If the inmate is located at North Dakota State Penitentiary or Missouri River Correctional Center please use the address listed below.

If they are located at the James River Correctional Center please use the address below:

Please ensure you have listed who the payment is from, who the payment is going to, and the inmate’s number. Please make the payment out to the inmate you are sending payment to.

Any checks over $100.00 will be held for 14 days before clearing in the inmates account.
